Telepass is a telematic system which enables you to pay toll fees without having to stop in the toll lanes dedicated to this service. A small on board apparatus, applied to the inside of your car windscreen, will communicate directly with the machines located in the entrance and exit toll barriers. The formula Telepass with

has no upper limit of expense and may be requested by all c/ac Viacard owners.
WHERE TO APPLY FOR ONE
The underwriting of a Telepass contract may take place at any Company Service Centre on presentation of:
- your Viacard card;
- A valid identification document;
- the number-plate numbers of the vehicles in which one intends to install it (maximum of 2).
The Telepass may also be collected immediately by a person who is not the owner of the Viacard account, by providing a statement of proxy and their own identity document, as well as the (photocopied) documents mentioned above.
HOW MUCH IT COSTS
The apparatus is the property of Autostrade per l'Italia S.p.A. and is lent out for use by the customer. The cost of the service is Euro 1,03 + VAT monthly, in addition to the Viacard subscription fee.
INSTALLATION
Telepass is easily installed. If there are any functional problems, the apparatus will be replaced immediately at any Service Centre of the Brescia-Verona-Vicenza-Padova Company or at a Punto Blu of Autostrade per l'Italia S.p.A.
WHERE TO USE IT
Telepass may be used in all toll stations equipped for the service.
HOW TO USE IT
The Telepass must always be used together with a Viacard, so that the latter may be shown to a toll officer on the manual toll lanes if the apparatus is not functioning properly or if a Telepass lane is temporarily closed due to maintenance. Once the apparatus has been installed in your car, you can use the motorway entrance and exit lanes bearing the Telepass logo. During transit the apparatus reads the category of the vehicle, the entrance and exit toll stations and the toll fee sum which will be charged to the owner's bank account at the end of the month.
In addition, It is important to note that:
if the customer enters the motorway on a Telepass lane and exits from a toll station which does not have Telepass lanes, they must show their Viacard to a toll officer on a manual lane and state their entrance toll station;
if the customer enters the motorway taking a ticket, at the exit they may pay by Viacard on both an automatic and a manual lane;
if the customer enters the motorway taking a ticket, at the exit they may pay on a "bi-modal" lane (Viacard + Telepass) by inserting the entrance ticket only to get through the barrier.

CHANGING NUMBER-PLATE NUMBER
a single Telepass apparatus may be used in a maximum of 2 vehicles. If one wishes to move the apparatus to vehicles with different number-plates to those stated in the contract, one must notify Autostrade per l'Italia S.p.A. specifying the contract number and the new number-plate number by faxing 06/43634050, 055/4202373 or 055/4202734.
It is also possible to give notification of these events at a Company Service Centre.
CHARGING OF PAYMENT, INVOICE, LIST OF TRIPS
The fees are charged monthly to the Viacard customer's bank account.
The toll fees payed with Telepass are shown in the monthly Viacard invoice. A list of trips is sent monthly with the invoice stating the means of payment used (Viacard and/or Telepass) the entrance and exit toll stations and the relative dates and times of exit.
if necessary, the customer may request a copy of the invoice
Viacard or of the list of trips at the Company Service Centres.
RETURNING THE APPARATUS
If the customer wishes to return the Telepass they may:
notify Autostrade per l'Italia S.p.A. by registered post with recorded delivery (raccomandata A/R) enclosing the apparatus;
hand it in personally to a Service Centre of the Brescia-Verona-Vicenza-Padova Company or to a Punto Blu or Office of the Società Autostrade.
If the contractual relation with the customer is revoked by Autostrade per l'Italia S.p.A. or by the bank, the customer must return the Telepass within 20 days of the official notification in the manner described above. After this time, Autostrade per l'Italia S.p.A. will charge the customer a penalty fee of Euro 25,00 +VAT for the delay in returning the Telepass apparatus.
THEFT/LOSS OF VIACARD CARDS AND Telepass
In case of loss or theft of C/A Viacard or of Telepass, the owner must immediately notify one of our Service Centres or Autostrade per l'Italia S.p.A. by faxing one of the following numbers: 06/43634050 - 055/4202373 - 055/4202734.
Within 30 days of the first notification, one must provide one of the following documents :
- copy of the reported theft issued by the competent authority;
- fill in a "dichiarazione sostitutiva dell'atto di notorietà" (substitutional declaration of the attested affidavit) at a Service Centre.
