Orbital Road of Limena

Description:

The work related to the construction of a link between the motorway toll barrier of Padova Ovest, the S.P. 47 (Valsugana) and the S.P. 94 (Contarina), called Orbital Road of Limena, was carried out in order to solve the problem of through traffic, towards both North and South, in the built-up area of Limena caused by the presence of the motorway toll station of Padova Ovest.

The roadway is made up of two lanes for each direction with a central reservation. It runs for a total length of 6.7 kilometres to the south of Limena, with junctions at the toll barrier of Padova Ovest to the south and north of the intersection between the S.P. 47 "Valsugana" and the S.P. 94 "Contarina".

The route is characterized by a steel artefact near the North junction, by the viaduct crossing of the river Brenta, by four junctions linking to ordinary traffic flow as well as seven underpass crossings.

The infrastructure is equipped with apparatus for the collection and treatment of rainwater, sound absorbing and/or transparent panels for reducing noise levels in compliance with relative legislation, and arboreal elements which contribute to the environmental and scenic setting.
