East Orbital Road of Verona

Description:

The East Orbital road of Verona runs from the Municipial District of Verona between the S.R. 11 (Via Unità d'Italia) and the ex S.P. 6 of the Valpantena (Via Colonnello Fincato), to the East and North-east of the town.

The East Orbital road of Verona represents the prolongation of the motorway link road owned by Brescia Verona Vicenza Padova Motorway, which runs from the Verona Est toll barrier. By way of this connection, the East Orbital inserts itself into the orbital road network of Verona.

The Council of Verona built the orbital road following a specific Convention with the Brescia-Padova S.p.A. Motorway; the Company subsequently acquired ownership and management.

• Benchmarks: S.R. 11 to the South and municipial road "Via Fincato" to the North;
• Length: 5.3 km;
• Section: 2 lanes for each direction, more hard shoulders and central reservations, for a total width of 18.60 m. ;
• Junctions: n° 4 on offset levels: in addition to the two end juctions (those which connect with the S.R. 11 and with the S.P. 6) there are two intermediate ones which connect the orbital road to Via Mattarana and Via Antonio da Legnago respectively.
