Lay-bys and SOS telephone points of the South Orbital Road of Verona

Description:

Along the South Orbital Road of Verona, which runs for about sixteen kilometres between the junction with the S.S. 62 of Cisa and the one with the S.R. 11 Padana Superiore, at Vago, new lay-bys equipped with SOS points have been created in order to increase the general safety level by providing spaces for motorists to stop in case of emergency and the possibility to call breakdown services when needed.

Work consisted in constructing 35 lay-bys, half of which are equipped with an SOS emergency point.

Technical data:

• Territorial area: province of Verona, Municipial Districts of Verona, San Giovanni Lupatoto, San Martino Buon Albergo;
• Creation of 35 lay-bys (of which17 on the East carriageway and18 on the West carriageway);
• Creation of an emergency network with 18 SOS points (of which 9 on the East carriageway and 9 on the West carriageway);
