Companion System
|
On the stretches Sirmione - Sommacampagna, Soave - Montebello and Grisignano - Padova Est, on both carriageways and for a total of 48 km, the Company has installed an automatic system, called Companion, which warns motorists of imminent danger by means of "illuminated dots" activated by radar equipment, by fog sensors or by the Operative Centre
The system holds the motorist's attention by flashing and adapts automatically and dynamically to the changing of any situations which may cause danger.

Changing message screens
The Company has installed changing message screens informing of conditions of access to toll stations to notify the customer of traffic conditions before they enter the motorway; other sorts of information are transmitted on electronic panels on the entrance lanes to toll stations. 38 changing message screens have been installed, about every 10 km, along the motorway route in order to provide the user with all sorts of information. These screens are placed a few kilometres before the toll station exits and/or at motorway junctions so that the user may choose whether to continue or not along the motorway route on the basis of the information received. The screens show two pictograms describing the cause or the type of event and its effects on the traffic flow and a written message stating the stretch involved and/or other useful information concerning the cause or the effects of the event.
Lastly, two screens on route and three screens near entrances have been installed on the South Orbital Road of Verona.
S.O.S. points

S.O.S. points are located every 2 km and enable direct communication with the operator at the Company Operative Centre, to request the intervention of the emergency or breakdown services needed.
- Blue button to request breakdown service or information.
- Red button
for accident, for illness etc.

Detection system of the average speed vehicles (TUTOR)

The Company in consultation with the Department of Public Security of the Ministry of Interior, has installed the system for detecting the average speed of vehicles, systems commonly called TUTOR, in some segments of trafficking competence:
Direction Venice:
- from km 100 +922 to Km 117 +030 Brescia Est - Desenzano;
- from km 131 +750 to km 143 +750 Peschiera - Sommacampagna.
Toward Milan:
- from km 148 +450 to km 135 +440 Sommacampagna - Peschiera;
- from km 121 +250 to Km 106 +950 Desenzano - Brescia Est.
The plant is managed directly by the Traffic Police. At the beginning of the treatment described above, under current legislation, special panels were installed reporting information to users.
